Underground Hypnosis carries a somewhat stormy reputation, but as with comparable conversational hypnosis techniques it can produce satisfying results. You most likely know already that you can effectively convey messages to the subconscious in this fashion, but you might not be aware that you can help with complaints, whether mental, physical, or emotional. So you may add help to defeat depression or diverse addictions to any half remembered stage show comic hijinks and comparable antics. It seems a little scary at first, but it’s a surprisingly common practice which generally has no significant issues.

As is the case with most hypnosis, the intent of conversational hypnosis is to place someone into a trance state. You can take them so deep into a trance state. The depth to which the subject descends into a trance state is determined by elements of their hypnotist’s ability and personality. The earliest trance level takes place as the subject initially begins to untense certain smaller muscles. They feel sleepy, though not tired. Some notice their eyelids grow heavier. You’ll watch fingers flex and shoulders slump as this pleasant relaxation engulfs them at an astonishing pace. Try to imagine only being able to perceive one person. A seasoned hypnotist can take you to this state by taking you into a deep enough trance. And as you reach this state, hypnotic suggestion comes in, with subconscious influence becoming possible. Going further you’ll find you can prevent memory of given situations — or to block physical feeling, causing you not to notice pain in a given area.

You may, it’s worth noting, lead your subject into an even deeper trance, little by little introducing them to a hallucinatory level before an endpoint similar to that which is reached under general anesthetic. Individuals could go through one of several medical procedures at this point without no need for anesthesia.

You won’t learn ways you can reach that state using Underground Hypnosis, though, of course, it’s seldom called for. As it happens, when you’re working within traditional limitations for hypnosis, you can stick with the less intense strata of trance state. Anybody can be taught these techniques using the Underground Hypnosis system. All that’s needed is a day or so’s study and time to develop your skills, and before you know it, you’ll be leading people to do what you prefer and enhancing your communication skills. Why are you worried? Step up and learn.

Music is magical. Some people dance to it, some write, play or sing it, and others just listen. Music’s power is that it touches everyone in different ways. Valerie, Graphic Designer, claimed: “I love to listen to music while I work, but I’m careful to choose which type to listen to. I know that music has a profound effect on how my subconscious is working and can affect my mood. Sometimes I even change the type of music to parallel the type of client that I’m working on. I feel it helps to get me in the mood for a certain type of project and can affect my results.”

HealthDay News recently announced a study exploring whether harmonic sounds are therapeutic for people who suffer from neurological disorders. That makes us wondering wether our brains are tuned to healing frequencies? This is not surprising that background music affects the body and mind in many powerful ways. Those who practice music therapy are finding a benefit in using music helping them on their daily mood. Sports music isn’t useful for the regular distance runner in search of that extra boost. It may work in warm-up, it may help in cool-down, but when it comes to really pushing your aerobic limits, Depeche Mode said it better than anyone: Enjoy the Silence.

Human beings have an innate tendency to co-ordinate movement and rhythm - this is final piece in the exercise and sports music puzzle. Performance can be greatly improved by choosing sports music with the right tempo for the right exercise. That is yet very interesting to know. Music is our happiness and we always feel in side. While the benefits of using background music should be evident, employers ought to consider the type of music played in a workplace to ensure that the mood and style best fits the workforce and their desired behaviour. It is a win-win process for the employer as well as for the employee. A recent research conducted by the University of Leicester monitored the effects of classical and pop music and background silence on consumers’ buying behaviour. It revealed that classical background music has a serious impact on the spending process while a customer is at the restaurant.

{December 26, 2009}   After Last Night: the Morning Street Sweeper

Wander around your local town very early in the dawn and you’ll meet a number of street sweepers out and about cleaning up the rubbish strewn around by all the drunken activities of the previous night. It’s a common early morning time setting, and it frequently hides the litter trouble we encounter. We don’t actually give litter a second thought as we feel keeping the roads unlittered is not our job.

Still, there is a subtle yet substantial impact litter plays on human psychology. People are more likely to believe a neighbourhood is lacking law and order if litter is lying around, and so criminals see rubbish as a potential signal for a chance of a break-in, a mugging, or car-theft. The same sign produces some fearfulness in other people who worry they may be wandering into a more dangerous area and are concerned about possibly being robbed.

There’s also the influence on the aesthetic attraction of a location. Litter lying around can give the visual aspect of a location looking unkempt even if it’s just been trashed by party revellers from the previous night. This can damage the reputation of a place if people are only within the area for this particular time and only find it in its disorderly state.

There’s absolutely no purpose to drop rubbish if there are unfilled rubbish bins around the neighbourhood. If there are no bins, or the rubbish bins that are there are stuffed, this is an issue to take up with the local council. Trashing an area has a negative impact on everybody.

Disclaimer: None of the content of this article should be
considered medical or psychological advice. You should consult
with your health care professional for specific advice relating
to your medical and psychological questions or conditions.

Have you ever heard about a child whom parents or teachers
describe as lazy, unenthusiastic, and non-interested in any
school subject or social activity? If yes, have you ever thought
why this child is so low motivated, when he or she needs to do
something demanding assiduity, diligence, patience, attention,
tenacity, self-control and other important personal qualities?
While growing up these children meet obstacles in real life and
do not find enough will power, strength of mind to overcome life
difficulties and achieve goals. This happens because in
childhood and during adolescent period, when important aspects
of self-regulation and self-control build up, these children did
not learn to be patient, assiduous and purposeful. That is the
reason why it is very important to make the basis of your
child’s motivation to success, self-control, and self-regulation
in early childhood. Sometimes it is much easier for parents just
to close their eyes to many things thus allowing their child to
do anything he or she wants and have “peace” without listening
to the child crying or demanding anything. But this is not a way
out of the situation, because now your child is having only a
small problem, but while the child is growing up problems will
be becoming more complicated and solving them will be much more
difficult.

How can you help your child be more motivated?

1. Be sure that you are ready and have enough patience to talk
and explain your child many things even there could be some
misunderstandings and communication difficulties.

2. Do not be afraid to be strict sometimes, but at the same time
try to explain all your actions, be reasonable and appeal to
consciousness of your child. (For example, if your child does
not want to make homework in math, explain your him or her, that
now the most important thing is not the homework, but how strong
and self-controlled he or she is, and the ability of doing
important things, which children do not want to do.)

3. Teach your child to avoid words such as “I want to do…” and
“I don’t want to do…” substitute these word-combinations with
“I need to do…” and “I don’t need to do…”Also do not tell
your child, that he or she is “the smartest, most clever…” or
“the best person” in any field. Because when a person says: “I
am the best…” it is the signal for unconscious mechanisms to
stop accept new information. “The best” person does not need to
learn or know anything. Isn’t he or she “the best” already?
Instead of that, say: “I’m good in this today, and I will even
be better tomorrow!”

4. Do not demand from your child fast results and improvements.
Remember, you should begin with small tasks, like homework or
house work help.

5. Teach your child to be enthusiastic and open to new knowledge
and experience. Explain and show him or her that, for example,
every subject in school can be much more interesting if they try
to learn more about it.

Invest your time, efforts and teach your child to be motivated
to achieve their goals with the help of patience, diligence,
strength of mind, will power, and hard work. This will be one of
the most important investments in your life, because in the
future you will be very glad to see that your son or daughter is
able to achieve their goals and become a successful person.

{April 16, 2008}   Avoid Food Therapy

Depression sometimes leads to weight loss. More often than not, it leads to weight gain. Sitting around and snacking can be very comforting; it is called food therapy. Eating junk food to make you feel better. Ordering in pizza because it makes you feel better. Snacking on chips all day and candy all night. Chocolate is an especially bad, because of the way it interacts with your brain. So how do you kick this habit?

There are a couple of good ways. The first one is to remove all junk food from your house. If you live alone, this is easy to do. If you live with others, it is more difficult. What you can do instead, is move all junk food to one cabinet, one that you studiously avoid. However, knowing that the food is available to you makes it harder to resist. That is simply human nature.

The second thing to do is begin a hobby that involves your hands. By finding a hobby that you can do with your hands, such as knitting or drawing or even video games, you will be keeping yourself occupied, and keeping your hands occupied as well. As long as they are busy, it is harder for you to snack. Since most people snack while sitting around doing nothing, depressed people are more at risk of over-eating.

Another option is to start snacking on vegetables. Baby carrots are perfect for this. Instead of snacking on potato chips or cookies, pull out celery sticks. That way, if you are going to snack, you will do so in a healthy manner and you will find that it will help your depression.

Finally, speak with your therapist. Since this is not an uncommon problem, you might find that he or she can suggest other things for you to do, or other ways for you to eliminate this urge.

{April 05, 2008}   Famous Psychics - Sylvia Browne

In this last of a series of articles on famous psychics we’re
going to cover another very popular modern day psychic who has
had more than her share of sceptics and bashers. Sylvia Browne
is probably one of the most controversial psychics of the modern
era.

Sylvia Browne is most noted for her psychic talent, her great
counseling ability and the extensive research she has done into
parapsychology. She has a very down to earth, sometimes
abrasive, but very dynamic and genuine personality. Yes, she
does have a tendency to rub people the wrong way. But what
controversial psychic hasn’t?

Browne has lectured and taught people all over the world
including Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and Canada. Supposedly
Browne first achieved her psychic ability at the very young age
of three years old when she was living in Kansas City, MO. In
her early years she shared her psychic gifts with friends and
family. She eventually became very well known for helping people
see into the future. She moved to California in 1964. From her
new home she continued to assist people in private. Eventually,
Browne wanted to form a professional organization to study the
paranormal. This finally came to pass in 1974 when she formed
The Nirvana Foundation for Psychic Research, which is a
nonprofit organization. It is now known as The Society of Novus
Spiritus. Since that time Browne has helped thousands of people
find a deeper spiritual meaning in their life through God via
her gifts.

Browne’s philosophy involves researching into people’s past
lives through hypnosis. She also obtains much information
through what is known as her channeling ability. She has
established reincarnation as the key to understanding life. She
accepts this as the central theme in her philosophy. However,
she does not force this belief on anyone who does not accept it.
To all her subjects she says, “Take with you what you want and
leave the rest behind.” Browne is also very religious but does
not force that issue either. If one chooses not to believe in a
supreme being she believes that is their right. She tells
people, “It does not matter if you believe in God because God
believes in you.”

Browne, over the years, has appeared on shows such as Unsolved
Mysteries, In Search Of…, That’s Incredible and the Montel
Williams Show. She has also been featured in magazines like
Cosmopolitan and People. She even had her own TV special called
Haunted Lives and was a guest on the Larry King Show. She was
heard on Coast to Coast by thousands and even had two Pay Per
View specials in 1999 and 2000.

Browne has also had several books published including, “Journey
Of The Soul,” “Conversations With The Other Side,” “Astrology
Through The Eyes Of The Psychic,” and her Biography, “Adventures
Of A Psychic” which was a New York Times best seller.

Browne has come under attack by many sceptics as have many other
psychics before her. Some of the attacks have been so vicious
that they have prompted her to post some rather strong responses
to them on her official web site.

And again, as with all psychics who have come before her, the
question still remains unanswered. Is she the real thing or just
another very good entertainer?
