The domestic wind turbine is a perfect example. If you are powering your house using a homemade wind turbine, you are not only saving on utility bills every month but also reducing your carbon footprint. After the initial cost of installation, the domestic wind turbine needs very little maintenance and the running costs are very little because wind energy is totally free.I was debating between getting out while I had only spent some money on a few guides or waiting until I spent lots more on the materials. I started thinking that there must be an easier way. Farms and factories throw out older motors and metal and other stuff everyday so where could I get some of that? I realized that if maybe I got my hands on used material, rather then buying it all from a hardware store I could really cut down on costs. WTG transformer function has been handled by conventional, off the shelf distribution transformers, but the relatively large numbers of recent failures would strongly suggest that WTG transformer designs need to be made substantially more robust. The practice of using� conventional off the shelf distribution transformers as a low cost solution is folly. In some cases site operators are maintaining a quantity of spare transformers to combat the frequent outages caused by standard distribution transformers being used where they are not suitable. The role of the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) transformer in this process is critical and, as such, its design needs to be carefully and thoughtfully analyzed and reevaluated. Denmark is one of such country, which produces one fifth of its total requirement of electricity from wind. Wind energy is the cheapest and environmental friendly and it is available everywhere and therefore people can install homemade residential wind turbines and can start generating electricity from wind, a renewable source of energy.
